WORK ON WHARVES.
Conditions Discussed at Wellington. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, March 28 No farther stoppage of work on ves sels in Wellington has been reported. Proposals submitted for embodiment in a new agreement covering wages and conditions of employment throughout the Dominion, which have been under consideration for some time, were discussed at a conference yesterday afternoon between representatives of the shipping companies and the Watersiders’ Federation. Representatives of the federation said that they would have to confer with their members, and the meeting terminated without any amendments to the proposals. Mr L. Glover, National president of the Waterside Workers’ Federaticn addressed a largely-attended meeting of Lyttelton waterside workers this morning on the question of the new agreement. rJ
