Sheep on Hagley Links.

Dear Sir,—The sheep in Hagley Park look very nice, but I hope that with the approach of the golf season they will be removed for a while and a horse-mower used to cut the grass or strip it a bit, where it is too rough. They say the sheep have to be run to keep the grass down, but I well remember at the beginning of the last golf season how unpleasant it was playing with sheep droppings lying about. It is not only dirty’, but odorous. Surely the links could be restored to order with more gentility.—l am, etc., SNIFFY.
