General Hold-up Threat in Australia. REPORTS OF DISAFFECTION. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received March 21, 11.20 a.m.) MELBOURNE, March 21. Officials of the Seamen’s Union are in touch with the crews of the Wanganella, Kooyong and Allawa as a result of reports of disaffection. One official is reported to have predicted a general hold-up, but he declined to say so for publication with his name. The crew of the Kooyong gave notice, but the captain informed the j owners, M’Uraith and M’Eachern, later ! that the notices had been withdrawn, j The shipowners’ chairman, Mr J. L. j Webb, refuses to comment.
