Palmerston North Feels Concerned. Per Press Association. PALMERSTON N., March 21. Following the escape of a prisoner from the police station on Saturday evening, the Chamber of Commerce decided to draw’ the attention of the Department of Justice to the condition of the lock-up. which members described as antiquated. Though the present is not a time for large public expenditure, it was felt that the present claim for a more secure building was justified, as several escapes had occurred.
