HOCKEY.

Technical Old Boys Meet. At the annual meeting of the Technical College Old Boys’ Hockey Club, the club president. Mr H. A. Locke, was in the chair. In reviewing the annual report and balance-sheet, the chairman congratulated the club on its good membership and financial position. The club's teams bad performed with credit in the competitions, and in winning the fifth grade competition the team had cieated a hockey record by scoring seventy-eight goals and having no goals scored against it. Officers for the 1934 season tvere elected as follows:—Patron, Dr D. E. Hansen; president, Mr H. A. Locke: 'ice-presidents. Messrs A. C. Barnes, »C. Bellamy. C. Smith. E. A. Harvey, J. Hitclien, W. Turner, H. Teague, E. W. Smith and R. Wear; club captain. Air R. E. Ballinger; honorary treasurer, Mr J. Howman; honorary secretary, Mr J. E. Hill; honorary auditor, Mr E. AV. Smith; delegate to the Sports Protection Association. Mr P. Kiddey; delegates to the Canterbury Hockey Association. Messrs J. Goldstone, J. Hitclien and F. Kiddey; delegate to the Past and Senior Students’ Association. Mr J. Goldstone; committee. Messrs R. Meynell, W. Cole. J. Goldstone, J. Grimley and L. Trebilcock; selectors, Messrs H. A. Locke and A. C. Barnes. The opening day was fixed for Saturday, April 7. at Ensor's Road.
