CAVES WILL DO HIM.

G. B. Shaw Sees Waitomo and Marvels. “BLOTS OUT THE REST.’' » Per Press Association. HAMILTON, March 21. “ When a man like myself sees sights such as the Waitomo Caves, that is sufficient to blot out all memories of the more usual scenery,” said Mr George Bernard Shaw, speaking over the telephone from the Caves Hostel this morning. “ New Zealand possesses a wonderful scenic attraction in these caves,” Mr Shaw added. “ I am amazed to hear that many New Zealanders, especially those living so close to the caves, have never seen them. Tell them they ought to be thoroughly ashamed of themselves. “ I have come 14,000 miles to see them, and think they are worth it. If that’s good enough for me, it ought to be more than good enough for New Zealanders.”
