The Trolley Buses.

Dear Sir, —There has been quite a lot of discussion about the four trolley bus drivers. If the North Beach residents really want these men retained I suggest that they should take over the route from the Tramway Board. The board should be preased to get rid of it. The cost, I understand, is approximately £60,000, and I am sure the board would throw in the shed at Brighton free. The only drawback is that North Beach people would have to pay for their rides instead of riding at the expense of the city residents. Am I right in presuming that if all those who signed the petition (supposed to be North Beach residents)* rode from North Beach to the city and back once a week, the route would pay handsomely?—l am, etc., A.C.S.
