“ Florodora ” at Theatre Royal. “ Florodora,” with its haunting melodies and brilliant settings, was again presented to a delighted audience at the Theatre Royal last night by the J. C. Williamson New Comic Opera Company. Romola Hansen plays the part of the pretty Dolores with grace and charm, and her singing, especially in the beautiful “ Queen of the Philippines,” was well received. Lois Green, the possessor of a sweet voice, was a success as Angela Gilfain, her best number being “ The Fellow Who Might.” The part of Lady Holdrood gave Marie La \ arre excellent opportunities to use her musical and comedy ability to the fis.ll. The eccentric dancing of Don Nicol was probably the most popular feature of the production, his act being encored again and again. Each time he performed fresh steps, much to the delight of the audience’ Phil Smith had a good deal to do in his part as Anthony Tweedlepunch, and he was very popular with the audience. Herbert Browne excelled in his singing of “ My Maid,” and received several encores. Eric Bush sang and acted well, his doll dance with Mona arousing great enthusiasm. Florodora ” will be repeated this evening. _____
