Three dividends will be paid if nine or more horses, the property of different owners and from different stables, compete. On six, S'- ;en and eight chances two dividends will be declared, and on five or fewer one uividend will be paid. * * * * Girvan is expected to run well in the Flying Handicap at New Brighton. It is a mile and a quarter race, and Girvan is on the limit. IN FORM. Lilian Bond has done well since her fine performance over two miles at Addington early in the month. She will be one of the favourites at New Brighton. i'fi * * * Racegoers need not be surprised if Worthy Queen defeats the pacers in the Eclipse Handicap at New Brighten. She is just one of those kind of trotters that can co it. A STRONG PAIR. F. G. Holmes has a powerful pair to represent him in the Eclipse Handicap at New Br ghton to-morrow. They are Tangatu and Golden Direct. ❖ 5k 9je Wise Guy is a good horse, and he is as fit as hands ran make him. He will go a big race in the Dash Handicap at the seaside to-morrow. A CONSISTENT PACER, Golden Dollar has come on with racing and training, and he can be relied upon to go well at the New Brigton Club’s meeting. He is engaged in two races. * 5f- * * A good beginner like Social Pest should play a big part in the decision of the Belfast Handicap at New Brighton to-morrow. tie has improved a lot since joining J. J. Kennerley’s stable, and taking a line on his Timaru showing, he should go well tomorrow'.

HAS IMPROVED. Peter Parrish has been pacing vigorously in his track work, and he is a much better horse than many think he is. He will have to be considered at New Brighton to-morrow. * * * * The four-year-" Id trotter Prince Harvester is a solid customer who will make his presei ce felt before the season is concluded. He is the most reliable for speculators in the Improvers’ Handicap at New Brighton. NEVER BETTER. Great Wood has improved a lot in speed and stantira, and if he leaves the mark at New Biighton he may reach the dividend area. He has won two races on tit— seaside course this season. Walter Wrack may be the dark horse to create a surprise in the Improvers’ Handicap at New Brighton to-morrow. He has been in work a long time and is a good sort. DUE ANY DAY, Endurance is expected to race well in the Improvers’ Handicap at New Brighton to-mo’row. She has had a good deal of expei ience. * # >Jc * To concede a field of twenty-four l'.orses upwards of 36yds is an herculean task to expect Young Travis to accomplish in a mile and a quarter race at New Brighton to-morrow. Young Travis is a stylish colt, and, f here is a touch cf class about him. It would not surprise his admirers to see him beat his op. onents to-morrow. A FORM HORSE Encounter’s lot m at Dunedin last month was really good. She ran second to Wise Guy fr -vn 12yds behind over a mile and a half on the first day, and from 24yds behind, in a similar race on the second dav si e ran third in 3min 20 3-ssec. At New Brighton to-morrow she is on the lin-.it of a 3min class, one mile and a quarter. * * * * Young Frank is cairving the Kennerley polish, and the ex-Southland horse is heralded as one likely to achieve distinction on Canterbury courses. He has won over two miles, but in his only : tart since coming to Christchurch he failed rather badly. He worked nicely on Thursday morning, and should be at home on the grass course at New Brighton to-mor-row. SOMETHING ACCOMPLISHED. Now that O. E. Hooper has persuaded Real llnon to race generously, one can* expect lig things from the son of Denver Ilucn and Placid. Real Huon is a genuine stayer, and off the limit of the Denton Memorial Handicap at New Brighton to-morrow he may upset the calculations of more fancied candidate;. * * * * After her achievement over two miles at Reef ton in January, where she won the big two-m.'Je event in 4min 29 2-ssec, Fernbrock Lass is certain to have a big following in her engagements at New Brighton to-morrow. She is an honest ma-e and will take a power of beating, find she is good in harness and in saddle. DRAW FOR POSITIONS.
