How much do fashionable weddings cost? A report from New York puts the average cost of a society wedding at £3770, and classifies the main expenses as £ISBO to bride’s trousseau, £370 to flowers and church decorations and £2OO for honeyrpoon expenses. Inquiries in London reveal that costs are every bit as high there. A recent society -wedding cost nearly £4OOO. It was, of course, an exceptionally large wedding and special policemen had to be hired to direct the traffic. But I understand that the average cost of a big London wedding rarely falls below £2soo.—Reuter.
