CHILLED BEEF FREIGHT.
Special Rates During 1934 Experimental Period. (Received February 22, 1.45 p.m.) SYDNEY. February 22. The Overseas Shipping Representatives’ Association has notified the New South Wales Meat Exporters’ Association that during the period designated the 1934 experimental year the shipping companies are prepared to carry chilled beef between Australian ports and London at a freight rate of lid per lb, plus exchange. The rate “ includes the cost of the necessary gas in connection with the carbon dioxide gas storage system.”
