In connection with the street collection to be held next Friday for the Nurse Maude Association’s funds, Nurse Maude will herself speak over the air on Thursday evening explaining the work that is being carried out by her nursing staff and the need for funds to help them in the present difficult times. The longest railway tunnel, aside from the New York subway, is that of St Gothard, on the line of the road between Lucerne and Milan. It is 26J feet wide, 19 feet from floor to roof, and 9i miles long.
