Swollen Rivers Take Toll in Queensland.

United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received February 6, 12.55 p.m.) BRISBANE, February 6. Five drownings as a result of the flooded rivers occurred yesterday. A mother, whose surname is May. and her three children were drowned when a rowing boat struck a tree in the middle of the M’lntyre River. The husband reached the bank after frantically trying to rescue his family. Arthur Findlay, aged 17, lost his Hfe in trying to cross the swollen Theresa Creek on horseback. He was swept away.
