DEATH OF MR H. S. GOLLAN

LONDON, February 2. At Paddington a jury returned a verdict that the death of Mr Herbert Spencer Gollan was accidental, and exonerated the driver of the vehicle which struck him. The Coroner said that Mr GcJlan was blind in one eye and that evidence showed that he had stepped from the refuge in front of an omnibus, not looking where he was going. The driver had fourteen years’ experience and held many diplomas of freedom from accidents. lie had vainly jammed on both brakes.
