PEDESTRIANS RESTRICTED

Britain Will Stop “ Jay Walking.” British Offlrlal Wireless. RUGBY, January 30. It is understood that one of the proposals contained in the Government’s new Road Traffic Bill will restrict pedestrians to safety zones when crossing busy streets. The Government’s intention is also to use other measures to bring legislation to reduce road risks, and the help of the newspapers, the broadcasting system and the film companies will probably be invited. The possibility of restricting some of the horse traffic in some of the busiest streets is under consideration, and the working of the automatic signalling system and its development are receiving attention.
