NAZIS ARREST PRIESTS.

Famous Novelist Charged With Treason. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. BERLIN, January 15. The noted novelist, Ludwig Renn, whose book “War,” depicting the worst horrors of battle, was publicly burned last year, will be charged with high treason at Leipzig to-morrow. “Renn” is not a Jew, but a scion of a noble Saxon family. His real name is Arnold von Golssenau. He served throughout the war and became a battalion commander. Two Catholic priests, Father Stoger and Father Rossman, have been placed under protective arrest. It is alleged that Father Stoger'ordered the striking of the Nazi flag which had been hoisted by members of the Hitler youth organisation. Father Rossman, it is said, uttered unsubstantiated statements. It is believed that many more priests have been secretly arrested.
