POLICE COURT NEWS.
Doris Mabel Hann, twenty-five years of age, a domestic, appeared before Mr E. D. Mosley, S.M., at the Police Court this morning on a charge of being an idle and disorderly person. She was remanded for a week. . Senior-Sergeant Fox said that accused had been living in a house in Sydenham, but was ejected last night. She was found this morning in company with a man from W T irth’s Circus. The police proposed making further inquiries. Re hearing Granted. Upon the production of further evidence, the Magistrate granted a re-hear. ing of a case in which Neville Percy Smith, twenty-eight years of age, was sentenced to three months' imprisonment for failing to make a payment under the terms of his admission to probation. The fresh evidence show’ed that the payment had been made through the post by the required time. The charge was then dismissed. Negligent Driving. Hubert Noel Parker, of Totara Street, Nelson (Mr Tracy) was fined 10s and casts for negligently driving a motor lorry.
