Meeting of the Executive is Held. A meeting of the executive of the Christchurch Returned Soldiers’ Association was held last evening, Mr It. M. Grant presiding. Headquarters forwarded copies of correspondence with the British Empire Service Region intimating that no money had been sent to New Zealand for years Per,al so,diers durln S the past five The Benevolent Committee's report for the three weeks ended January 13 1934. stated that Gl9 applications had been granted, and one had been declined. Ex-service men’s families to the number of 147 had been cTub ted by the Christcllurch Rotary The report of the employment officer showed that effective registrations numbered 639. of which thirty-nine were new. The registrations for the three weeks ended January 13. 1934. were 263 to December 23 last, 229 to January 6 Thirteen new members were elected.
