GAYNOR AND BAXTER.

Popular Stars in “ Paddy, the Next Best Thing.”

Warner Baxter and Janet Gaynor are co-starred in " Faddy, the Next Best Thing.” which is now well into the second week of a most successful season at the Grand Theatre. This Irish romance, which is worth going a long way to see, is adapted from the wellknown novel by Gertrude Page. Janet Gaynor alone. in the character of Paddy, would be quite enough to make the picture memorable. She is as charming as she has ever been, as whimsical and as beautiful, and to those qualities she has now added others equally attractive—a faint Irish brogue and a whirlwind temperament. As a bewitching colleen, hating and loving with all her heart, she is perfectlv cast. Playing opposite her is Warner Baxter, a man with just the right polish and cosmopolitan poise to make the ideal foil for the tempestuous Paddy. The scene of the story is set in Ireland, and much of the beauty, the colour, and the interest attaching to this land and its people have been introduced into the production. The supports are excellent.
