MODEL YACHTING.
The Christchurch Model Yacht Club sailed the first two heats of the President's Race on Saturday. Eight boats competed in a strong north-east wind. Results: First heat: E. Ilodge's Kea (handicap smin) 1; R. Munro's Dolphin (scr) 2, W. S. Kingston's Pateena (lmin 30sec) 3. H. J. Bowlker’s Ruth (3min) 4. C. White’s Charlie (4min lOsec) 5. Time —3O Jin in. Second heat: Pateena 1, B. George's Irene 11. 2, W. Beauchamp’s Avenger (6min 30sec) 3. Ruth 4. Kea 5. Time—--251 min. A further two heats will be sailed i next Saturday.
