During the past few days two pen guins have been seen at North B-.ach. One of the birds, a full grown specimen, was encountered by a number ol members of the North Beach Surf Club who were swimming near the buoy moored some distance out to sea. The penguin was taking life fairly- easily, and kept away from the shore. The other bird was a young penguin, and it was washed ashore apparently in a sick condition. One of the relief workers : employed on the foreshore took it 1 home, but how it is faring now is not j known.
