Wireless Programme s.
Dear Sir, —I fully endorse all that your correspondent “ Moderation ” said about the wireless programmes provided of late by 3YA and, like “ Moderation,” have often had to seek solace in some other avenue of amusement, so disgusted have I and also often come to the conclusion that listeners get a very poor return for their thirty shillings per annum. Then there is that monotonous weather report from distant stations that we have to listen to every evening. Of course, we like to hear what the weather is going to be and has been in our various centres, but of what interest is it to listeners generally to know that the barometer, cloud, wind, sea, etc.. was so and so at Timbuctoo, thousands of miles away? There is another complaint that I have, namely, the elimination of our old favourite station. KFI, Los Angeles. But what is the use of complaining? The whole management is so characteristic of where the Government assume control. Everybody is boss, and in the end nobody is boss.—l am. etc., NEMO.
