CROQUET TOURNEY.
Handicap Doubles Are Completed. The Canterbury croquet championship tournament was continued on the United Club's greens to-day. The greens were in perfect order. The final of the handicap doubles was won by R. W. M’Cullough and Mrs* Grey, who beat A. G. F. Ross and Mrs Evans, 26-13. Results:— Handicap Double*. Final. F. TV. M’Cullough and Mrs Grey 4s, heat A. G. F. Ross and Mrs Evans 4|, 1 Izard Memorial Doubles. Rhodes-Williams and Miss Bell beat E. J. Ross and Mrs Tyres, 26-21. H. A. Penn .and Mrs Rinaldi beat Mesdatmes Maddren and E. A. Smith, 26-21. Canterbury Championship. Mrs Palmer beat Mrs E. C. M'Cullougli, 26-10, 26-11. Women’s Championship. First life—Mrs Seapdrett heat Mrs Anderson. 26-3; Mrs Beanland heat Miss Gerard. 26-S. In the first game Mrs Seandrett made two perfect all-round breaks, permitting her opponent to score only three P °Second life—Mrs Stallard beat Mrs Hadfield, 26-13. Handicap Slagles. Third round—Mrs Seandrett 1, beat A. G. F. Ross minus 3. 26-15.
