J. E. Mills Replaces Cleveriey for Next Match. Per Press Association. AUCKLAND, December 28. J. E. Mills replaces Cleveriey in the Auckland eleven to meet Otago here on Saturday next. Mills was unavailable for the match against Wellington, which was won by Auckland yesterday. Match at Ashburton. (Special to the “ Star.”) ASHBURTON, December 28. At Ashburton to-day the cricket match between the Wellington Colts touring team and the Ashburton representative team, which began yesterday morning but was postponed on account of rain, was resumed. The pitch was inclined to be a little heavy, but the weather was fine. There was a fair attendance of spectators. At the luncheon adjournment at 12.15 Wellington had made 165 for eight wickets. W. G. Rainbird played very bright cricket and was still going strong with 69 to his credit. K. O’Connor was dropped twice, once near the boundary and again near the wickets. He made 19 and E. Bezzant 22.
