Cricket Results.
Dear Sir, —I was not at all impressed with the working of the result board at Lancaster Park to-day (Monday) from any point of view. The board itself is such a jumble of figures, especially where the fall of the wickets is indicated, that it requires a little study at first. This, however, is not a fatal defect, as the figures are all there for a little puzzling, but what I am more concerned about was the very slow way in which bowlers were signalled and batsmen’s scores hoisted. When Elmes was bowling the finger was point mg at Dunning, and whenever any man went out his total score jiid ®ot cume up until at least an over had been bow'led to the incomer. After Smith was out Cromb was in and out before Smith’s total or the fall of the wicket had been posted, and a couple of overs had been bowled to the third man before either of these two totals were up. Shouldn’t we expect faster work than this? —1 am, etc., NOT A REGULAR FAN.
