GERMAN CLIMBER’S PLAN.

United Press A^sn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received December 26, 12.30 f>.m.) CALCUTTA, December 25. Herr Willy Merkl, and eleven German climbers, are making another attempt next year to climb Nanga Parbat, 26,620 ft. a peak in Kashmir Hills. The party will consist of nine climbers, three scientific experts, six with previous experience in climbing in the Himalayas. Herr Merkl met with considerable ill-luck in 1932 in an attempt to conquer Nanga Parbat. He was driven back by storms, members of the expedition being affected by sickness.
