George O’Brien Featured in Zane Grey Story. George O'Brien, the “gentleman cowboy,” is featured to-day at. the MajesticTheatre in "Tlie Last Trail,” a thrilling drama -dealing with “gangsters” and cowboys. It is based on Zane Grey s latest storv, which, incidentally, is said to be the popular author’s best and most original. In this picture O’Brien, long noted for his performance of Western roles, has one that gives him great opportunities. lie one West-beer-runners who have entered the cattle-rustling game, and acquits himself with distinction. O’Brien’s horsemanship is always a delight to watch, but in “The Last Trail” lie really surpasses his previous work in this sphere. As his leading lady, O’Brien has again selected the comely and capable Claire Trevor. There is ari ease and volumes C for her ability. In this film she continues and enhances the promise she showed in “Life In the Raw.” the recent O’Brien picture in which she made her screen debut. The transplanted “ racketeers ” in “ The Last Trail ” are after a ranch, and? they use O’Brien as the decoy with which they intend to capture it. They do not know that he is in reality the owner of the ranch, and that they are letting themselves into a pretty trap. Bui O'Brien plays their game, and, with the help of Claire Trevor, posing as his wife, eventually outwits them. There is an abundance of comedy admirably handled by El Brendel, Matt M'llugh and Lucille La Verne. Others in the excellent cast are .T. Carrol Naish. George Reed. Ruth Warren, Luis Alberni and Edward! Le Saint. Box plans at theatre.
