CHEAPER TRAM FARES DURING SCHOOL HOLIDAYS. As part of the Tramway Board's polio v new, lower excursion fares to the Beaches have been decided upon and will become effective from January 3rd to January 31st. The new charges will be: Adults 7d return to or from New Brighton. North Beach and Redcliffs, and 9d return to or from Sumner. Children 3d return to or from anv of these places. A special feature of the excursions is that they will be available every day of the week, including Sundays, and by all trams during each day, so that people who want to go to the seaside in the evenings can have the benefit of cheaper travel. During the four weeks in which the new fares are effective, the ordinary excursion tickets will be suspendedIt is anticipated that this introduction of cheaper trips will prove most popular. Covering the greater portion of the school holidays, it caters particularly for family outings. 6
