LAUNCH IN DANGER.
Crew Have Unpleasant Adventure. Per Press Association. DUNEDIN, December 26. Four men who left Port Chalmers on Sunday afternoon to return home to Dunedin in a thirty-foot launch had an unpleasant adventure in a bitterly cold south-west storm. In the channel between Quarantine and Goat Islands the engine failed. For three hours the crew were engaged in fending the vessel from the rocks with a boathook, and they finally succeeded in mooring the craft to a beacon, on which they spent the whole night.
