RIFLE SHOOTING.

(Special to the ‘‘Star.’*) ASHBURTON, December 25. The ninth match of the season was fired by the Ashburton Defence Rifle Club on Saturday afternoon. The weather was fine, but the wind was troublesome «it times. The conditions were ten shots each at 300yds and 500yds. At 300yds. F. Clark put on 47. finishing with five bulls, while at 500yds N. Bauerle registered 47, his last shot being a three. Details:—
