Camping this year has been more than ordinarily popular, although seme campers were not to be envied in Sunday's weather. The camping numbers were swelled to-day, and all the resorts right up to Kaikoura had their quota of temporary inhabitants. Cricket, tennis, golf and sports meeti ings all claimed their following to-day, while there were the inevitable few whose idea of the perfect holiday was to potter round the home. There was no doubt about it that Christchurch, after a wet Sunday and an indifferent Christmas Day, was seizing Boxing Day’s opportunity to make up for lost outings.
