Cambridge Due This Evening.

The Federal steamer Cambridge is due from Auckland direct at 6 o'clock this evening. There was little work offering on the waterfront this morn, ing, the only vessels in port being the ferry steamer Wahine and the Ngahau, which returned from Kaiapoi last evening. GALE is expected here on Wednesday next to load for Wellington, Picton and Wanganui. JOHN is scheduled to load here on Monday for Wellington, New Plymouth and Waikato. MAUI POMARE, expected here on Monday from Apia and Niue Island, is bringing a full load of bananas for the Christmas trade. ABEL TASMAN should return here from Bluff to-morrow to load for Sydney. From Lyttelton the \ vessel proceeds to Westport to load bunkers. WAIKOUAITI is due from Timaru to-morrow morning to load for Sydney. She will leave for Bluff and Sydney on WANGANELLA was despatched fnom Sydney yesterday for Wellington. The vessel is due at Wellington on Sunday. WAIKAWA sailed from Dunedin yesterday for Melbourne and Sydney. SOUTH SEA, the Chatham Island trawler, expected at Wellington tomorrow morning from Waitangi. PORT DUNEDIN is due at Lyttelton on Monday from Tokomaru Bay to complete loading for London. The vessel is expected to sail for the United Kingdom on Thursday. TAUPATA is expected to call at Lyttelton on Tuesday to load for Nelson and nearby ports. SULTAN STAR arrived at Wellington yesterday from Napier. She is to leave again to-day for Timaru, Port Chalmers and Auckland to fill up. and is scheduled to clear the northern port finally on January ,5 for London via the Panama Canal. HERTFORD was due at Wellington at noon to-day from New Plymouth to continue her Homeward loading. She will leave again next Tuesday for Bluff for further loading. NARBADA left Singapore on Wednesday after completing loading for Auckland. Wellington. Lyttelton. Timaru. Dunedin and Bluff. She is due at Auckland on January 4. RANGITATA. en route from London, reports at Wellington by radio that she expects to arrive in Auckland at. daybreak next Wednesday. She is due st Wellington from Auckland about December 25 to complete discharge and commence loading. PERSONAL. Captain G. W. Evans, who has been taking holidays in Wellington, resumed command of the Opihi. relieving Captain C. Sharpe for further orders. Mr J. W.
