Lightning Causes £SOOO Damage. GALE UNROOFS HOUSES. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received December 15, 10.50 a.m.) SYDNEY, December 15. During a violent storm which passed over New South Wales, a station homestead at Jedlderie, the property of the New Zealand and Australian Land Company, was set on fire by lightning and destro}-ed. The damage totals £SOOO. A butter factory and a number of houses were unroofed at Harden. Trees were uprooted, gardens ruined and poultry killed. Rain fell in torrents. In other districts wheat crops were severely damaged. Two valuable draught mares were killed by lightning at Corowa.
