CLASSES IN MUSIC.

St Albans and Linwood Schools. Miss Millicent Jennings conducted her first yearly performance at the St Albans District Schopl on Saturday evening, when a combined gathering of St Albans and Linwood music classes was held. Mr C. D. Sheppard, chairman of the St Albans School Committee, welcomed the Linwood children, their parents and friends, and Mr C. R. N. Mackie, chairman of the Linwood School Committee, replied on behalf of the visitors. Miss Jennings submitted a report of the year’s work, drawing attention to the fact that three young pupils of the St Albans classes, tutored by Miss Peggy Maffey (the assisting teacher of pianoforte) had been successful in the recent Royal Academy examination. Many more pupils would be entered for these examinations next year. Geoffrey Michaelis, Allan Read. Ross Seed.
