PORT WIIA NG A RET, from Auckland, is expected here, to-morrow. On discharging and loading .she proceeds to Dunedin, Oama.ru and Timaru. HOLMDALE, due to-morrow from Dunedin via ports, will load here lor Wellingotn. Picton and Wanganui. KAPITI arrived thi-s morning early from Wanganui to load for that port. She leaves for the north to-morrow. AWAHOU, on loading here to-day, proceeds to Waikokopu, Tolaga Bay, Tokomaru Bay and Mick's Bay. WAIKAWA arrived here yesterday from Wellington to continue her unloading of cargo from the Pacific Slope. She leaves for Dunedin and Australian ports to-morrow. KAIMAI is engaged in discharging coal from Westport at Lyttelton to-day. CALM is to call here to-morrow to load for Bluff. Dunedin and Timaru. W A TKOUAITI arrived at Bluff on i Saturday evening from Hobart with Wirth’s Circus on board. The vessel is expected here on Thursday. WATMARTXO will load here for Auckland on AVednesday, OIL FROM RUSSIA. TEAKWOOD, the British steam tanker, which arrived at Lyttelton on Saturday morning from Batum with the third shipment of bulk motor spirit for the Associated Motorists’ Petrol Co. to Lyttelton and tjje first consignment of second grade Zip motor spirit, experienced very rough weather during part of her voyage. The vessel left Batum on October 10. Fair weather prevailed until November 4, when the conditions freshened with a blow from the north-east. As the force of the wind increased it raised a heavy sea which kept the ship’s deck under water from November 4 t,. November 25. Conditions on board were anything but enjoyable during the twenty-one days’ gale, especially when the wind was blowing at strength 8 and the vessel’s speed was reduced considerably by the heavy seas. The Teakwood took 53 days for the passage of 10,770 nautical miles. The Teakwood left. Lyttelton for the south on Saturday evening. PERSONAL. Captain G. B. Bates has resumed command of the Wanganella after leave, replacing Captain AV. J. AVyllie. Mr L. C. Davies has rejoined the Wingatui as chief engineer after holiday leave. Mr T. Melville has transferred to the Ivanna as chief engineer, relieving Mr A. Lang for holiday leave. Mr AAL AV. Houghton is joining the AVaikawa as chief engineer, relieving Mr E. A. Griffiths for holiday leave. Mr V. Standring has been appointed second engineer of the AVahine. Mr G. M. Monaghan, who has been on holiday leave, is joining the Wainui as second engineer. Mr D. M’Bean. late second engineer of the AVahine, is transferring to the R.M.S. Niagara in a similar capacity. The Karepo, which recommissioned at Wellington, is in command of Captain G. B. Corby. His deck officers are: Chief, Mr A. M. Lucas: second. Mr J. H. I hot son: third. Mr V. Miller. Captain J. Bruce recently resumed command of. the Kaimiro at AVellington, and Captain A. S. Dalgliesh transferred to the Kaimai, relieving Captain C. J. Hackworth for holidays. Captain AV. A. Gray, late of the Tamahine, is at present on holiday leave in the Sounds. Captain M. MacKenzie, who has.been on holiday leave in Sydney, has resumed command of the Talune, relieving Captain R. Huntly for further orders. Mr T. A\*. White, who has just completed holidays at Sydney, has rejoined the R.M.S. Monowai as chief officer, vice Mr A. Russell, who is at present awaiting orders at Sydney. Mr R. Duncan has joined the AVainui as chief officer, relieving Mr AV. J. Hill for further orders. Mr F. A. Clark has joined the Kowhai as second officer, vice Mr J. B. Dymock. who will be transferring to the Koranui shortly, relieving Mr AV. A. Morris. Mr J. J. Lyon is now second officer of the Talune. and Mr D. AV. AA'illiams has transferred to the Kakariki temporarily in a similar capacity, relieving Air D. Luekett for holidays. Mr L. 1,. Clark has joined the Tamahine as third officer. Air X. L.
