WOOL OUTLOOK.
Greater Confidence Noted in Centres. REPORT FROM LONDON'. United Tress Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received December 11, 11.30 a m.) LONDON, December 10. Mr W. Devereux, representative of the Australian woolgrowers, reports a firm close to the London wool sales, with a small carry-over. The greater stability of the Continental exchanges has created greater confidence in the wool centres. Although the tops market at Bradford is quiet, quotations have maintained a cheerful tone. A slight weakness in merino tops has been arrested and now a hardening tendency is noticeable. There is not much new busineess. Cross-bred tops are fully firm, with some new business. Quotations for merino and cross-bred yarns are unchanged. Cross-bred sales of tops in Germany are fairly well maintained, the wintry conditions stimulating business. The futures markets are fairly active. Quotations are unchanged.
