RECAPTURED.

Escaped Rum-runner is Arrested Again. FRENCH AUTHORITIES ACT. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received December 9, 12.30 p.m.) HALIFAX. December 8. The kidnapped members of the crew of the Canadian coastguard cutter were liberated and their captors were arrested by the French authorities at St Pierre. Under cover of darkness the rum ship Kromhout . slipped into the little French possession oft" the coast of Newfoundland. which had been warned to look out for the vessel. The police arrested the captain and crew of the Kromhout. The Kromhout was captured by coastguards and a crew of four men was put aboard her. with instructions to take her into port under arrest. The rum-runners, however, suddenly attacked the coastguards, overcame them and, cutting adrift quickly, made off to sea, being them outside the range of the coast guard cutter’s guns.
