DEBATING CLUBS.

The St Mary's debating: team visited the R.S.A. rooms on Tuesday evening and won a debate with the R.S.A. team. The question was “ The Estuary Port." St Mary’s being in favour of it and the R.S.A. against it. The affirmative speakers were Messrs Smith, Malone and M’Donald. The R.S.A. was represented by Messrs Hibbert, Sewell and Waterson. Mr J. O. Walker (Y.M.C.A.). who adjudicated, awarded the win to St Mary’s by a margin of ten points. The Rev F. T. Read presided.
