Tramway Chairmanship.

Dear Sir, —Your correspondent ** H.A.S.” has overlooked the most important matters when deciding in favour of Mr Mathison as chairman of the Tramway Board. While I do not deny the knowledge Mr Mathison possesses regarding the inner workings of the tramways, his credentials as a businessman have yet to be proved. That Mr Mathison was not considered the most capable man, of the Labour candidates, was proved by the votes obtained by him at the election. I consider, show the other members of the board their plain duty.—l am. etc., B. AHLFELD.
