TWO LOAN PROPOSALS.
Ratepayers Reject Scheme to Provide Relief. Per Press Association. PALMERSTON N.. December 7. City ratepayers yesterday voted on | two loan proposals: (1) To borrow £6OOO as a share of the cost of a new bridge over the Manawatu River at Fitzherbert Avenue; (2) to borrow £19,000 to provide certain works for unemployed relief. The first proposal was carried and the second was rejected.
