5,000,009 Gallons of Liouor for the U.S.A. (Received December 7. 12.30 p.m.) WASHINGTON, December 6. Liquor importers whose previously allotted quotas were suspended temporarily on Wednesday were granted a blanket to permit them to import approximately 5,000,000 gallons of foreign spirits and wines during Deceml>er and January. The permit granted gives all importers an even opportunity to get their shipments on the high seas. Quotas are based on an average of the monthly imports between 1910 and 1914. and four months’ supply is fixed as the minimum to be imported in December and January.
