At the wool sales 7652 bales were offered, including 3923 bales of New Zealand wool, and about 5644 bales were sold. There was active competition apart from occasional withdrawals of inferiors and faulties. Bulk offerings fetched full rates. New Zealand lots sold as follows:—Greasy cross-bred —JF (top price 151 d), average lid. The Bradford tops market is quiet and finer merinos are easier. There is little change' in cross-breds.
