FLYING NORTH.

Mr H. Harvie and Miss T. Hunter Going Home. Mr H. Harvie and Miss T. Hunter, members of the Western Federated Flying Club, Auckland, who made a record flight from Cape Maria van Diemen to the Bluff on Friday, are making their way back home by easy stages. Flying from Invercargill to Ashburton yesterday, they made a nonstop journey in two hours and threequarters. A strong tail wind enabled the 240 mile flight to be made in such good time. After a brief stay to replenish the petrol supply, Mr Harvie and his passenger continued the trip to Christchurch. They left at 10 o’clock this morning for Wellington, and will then go on to Hawera.
