MAINTENANCE COURT.

Mr H. P. Lawry, S.M., presided at a sitting of the Maintenance Court this Edward Alfred Newman, for disobedience of a maintenance order, was convicted and sentenced to one month’s imprisonment, the issue of the warrant to be suspended provided arrears are paid at 2s 6d a week in addition to tlie amount of the current order. Stephen Henry Charles Perrin, on a similar charge, was sentenced to one month’s imprisonment, the issue of the warrant to be suspended provided arrears are paid at os a week. James Salt, for disobedience of a maintenance order, was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment, the issue of the warrant to be suspended provided arrears are paid at 10s a week. John Waddell, similarly charged, was sentenced to one month’s imprisonment, the issue of the warrant to be suspended provided arrears are paid at the rate of 2s 6d a week. Krian Joseph Wall, on a further similar charge, was sentenced to three months’ imprisonment, the issue of the •warrant to be suspended-if arrears are paid at the rate of 5s a week. Edgar Charles Jones faced a similar charge and was sentenced to one month’s imprisonment, the issue of the warrant to be suspended as long as arrears are paid at the rate of 5s a week.
