AIR MAIL CHARGES.
Varying Rates Cannot be Changed.
Onfted Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received November 30, 2.30 p.m.) LONDON, November 29. Sir Ernest Bennett informed Mr O. E. Simmons that in view of the rapid increase In air-mail traffic he could not agree that the varying rates restricted the use of the mails. It was impracticable to adopt uniform rates, because the charges were fixed in relation to the costs of conveyance.
