REGATTA CLUB.

New Officers Elected at Annual Meeting. Saturday, January 27, was fixed as the date for this season’s Christchurch regatta on the Waimakariri River, at the. annual meeting of the Christchurch Regatta Club last evening. Mr D. Lee presided over an attendance of eleven members. It was decided to adopt last season’s programme of events, with the addition of a youths’ single sculling race, with prize money of 30s and shield for first price and 10s for second. The prize money for the senior pairs and senior double sculls was reduced by £1 in each case. Officers were elected as follows: Patron, the Hon Sir R. Heaton Rhodes; president, Mr D. Lee; vice-presidents, Sir Henry Wigram. Messrs G. Humphreys, F. I. Cowlishaw. J. Fry, R. E. Nightingale, H. H. Berry. W. A. Poison, W. G. Ataek, Hector Macintosh, H. J. Ballin and G. Scott; committee, Messrs W. Duggan, F. L. Booth, G. H. Hobbs, J. B. Taylor. A. T. Evans, W. G. Atack, G. Scott, W. A. Poison, F. A. Brittell, F. H. Brown, E. S. Velvin and D. Gunn; honorary secretary, Mr R. J. Hobbs; honorary auditor, Mr A. Donaldson.
