Some Collections and Reflections. BY ONE OF THE BOYS. Many citizens are at present Tramway bored. One sees great forward play in football, but tennis has it beaten for backs. Another pillion rider has been killed. There seems to be a slight element of danger in this form of travel. “ Burglars make a haul in Gore,” says a newspaper heading. And were caught, no doubt, red handed. Wool prices are very high. It is rumoured that farmers are grumbling because they haven't more to sell. Professor: How old now would be a person born in 1894? Tommie (age 22) : Man or woman? It is stated that the slump has broken. We will not, however, be quite out of a hole until something has been done about Riccarton Avenue. Teacher: Willie, give a definition of home. Willie: Home is where part of the family waits until the others are through with the car. Suitor (sighing) : Well, since you don’t •/'ant to marry me anv more, perhaps you’ll return me my ring. Girl (acidly) : If you must know, your jeweller has called for it already. The biology professor was speaking. “ I have here some very fine specimens of dissected frogs, which I will show Unwrapping the parcel, some sandwiches. fruit and hard-boiled eggs come to view. “ But, surely-—I ate my lunch! ” he exclaimed.
