TWO HOUSES BURNED.

Serious Loss To-day at Rewanui. (Special to the “ Star.”) GREYMOUTH, November 25. Starting in an unpccupied fiveroomed dwelling at Rewanui, a fire this afternoon destroyed the dwelling, and spread to a dwelling alongside occupied by Mr and Mrs W. Quate. This house was also’ destroyed. Mr and Mrs Quate, assisted by willing helpers, were able to remove most of their furniture, which was not insured. Both buildings were the property of the State Mines Department.
