TIMARU COURT.

(Special to the ** Star.”) TIMARU, November 23. In the Police Court, before Mr C. R. Orr-Walker, S.M., Thomas Victor Tuohy was charged with assaulting Margaret Tuohy. The police decided to withdraw the charge. Robert George Allen, for operating a radio set without a license, was convicted and ordered to pay costs. Jesse Charles Hawkins, for operating a heavy motor,vehicle without a heavy traffic license, was fined £2 and costs. Similarly charged, George Patterson was fined 10s and costs.

Preston Stevens was fined £1 and costs for driving an unlicensed motorcycle.

Alfred Major was fined £1 and costs for driving on the wrong side of the road.
