NATIONAL PLANNING.
Public Address to be Given Soon. Some months ago there was formed in Christchurch a branch of the National Reconstruction Association, ar organisation established in the main centres of the Dominion to considet different phases of national problems The Christchurch group, which consists of well-known citizens, has been meeting regularly to discuss matters of national importance, and so that the public may know something of its activities a meeting has been arranged to be. held at the Christchurch City Council Chambers to-morrow evening at 8 o’clock. The chairman of the group (the Mayor, Mr D. G. Sullivan, M.P.) will preside, and the deputy-chairman (Mr J. E. Strachanl will give an address on the case for national planning. In his address Mr Strachan will outline the proposals of the Christchurch branch as to the steps that it considers desirable to take in order that the problems may be grappled with in a constructive way. All interested are invited to be present.
